Uploading a file looks simple from the outside. Most of the problems appear later, when that link is added to a website, sent to someone else or needs to be changed without breaking the places where it is already being used.
We have run into these situations while building Media2URL and testing real file sharing workflows. That experience has shaped how we handle links, file updates and access controls across the product.
A media link can open normally in your browser and still fail when you place it inside a website or app. We have seen this happen when the URL redirects somewhere else, returns a webpage instead of the actual file or uses a temporary link that later expires.
That is why we built Link Doctor. It checks what the URL is actually returning and helps you identify common problems before you depend on the link elsewhere.
Importing a file from another URL should only work when that file is already publicly accessible. Media2URL does not try to bypass a login or private access just to complete an import.
When an import fails, the result should also make the reason clear. A blocked file or unsupported response is different from a successful upload, and you should be able to see that difference.

Media2URL provides sharing controls, workspace permissions and linked policy pages so you can see how files are handled. Abuse reporting and DMCA processes are also available when content may violate platform rules or another person’s rights.
Upload rules are shown close to the uploader so people can see what is not allowed before a file is submitted. If a hosted file appears to break platform rules or someone’s legal rights, it can also be reported for review.

Upload only files you are allowed to use. Media2URL should not be used to host content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
Removing a file or workspace may also remove its hosted versions. Temporary technical records or backups may remain for the period described in the Data Retention policy.
